No Shorts for YouTube does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or usage data. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, and no account or sign-in of any kind.
The only data it stores is your four on/off preferences — whether to hide
Shorts in the feed, in search results, in navigation, and whether to
redirect Shorts links. These are saved with Chrome's
storage.sync API, which keeps them in your own Chrome profile
and, if you have Chrome Sync enabled, syncs them across your signed-in
Chrome browsers via your Google account. The developer has no access to
this data.
/shorts/<id>

normal player. This navigation happens entirely within your browser.
The extension does not read your watch history, your account details, your search queries, or the content of any page, and it does not modify or inspect network traffic.
The extension makes no network requests of its own. It has no backend server. No data is shared with the developer or with any third party.
